The Entertainer

“Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he’s depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. This sculpture was made on a very lonely Valentine’s Day. I was drinking by myself at a bar and decided to create a sculpture portraying the way I felt. This was my first deeply emotional balloon artwork. Hearing the effect it had on those I shared it with inspired me to view the medium with renewed potential.
