Reaching
9″ x 17″ open edition print
Depression and anxiety filled the first half of 2020. The looming pandemic lockdowns would wipe away all the work and what little community I had. I felt utterly hopeless. But when I had a creative project to work on, it kept me from sinking. I would continue to rely on my art to get me through the darkness and created a sequel one year later to celebrate how things had improved.
This piece was made with balloons and a wax cast of my hand and a lit up lightbulb.
