Judith Beheading Holofernes

A recreation of one of my favorite Baroque paintings by Caravaggio. The Artemisia Gentileschi painting of the same scene is arguably more compelling for its greater sense of agency on the part of the women. The Caravaggio remains my favorite for its composition and expressive faces.
