A Shattered Visage
Available in 10″ x 15″ or in a single edition metallic paper 13″ x 20″ specially framed to 18″ x 24″ with butterflies used in the original shoot.
In this multimedia sculpture I brought in two disagreeable mediums, broken mirror shards and balloons, to represent the hostile environmental conditions we’re creating for ourselves through manmade climate change. The tin foil is the new living conditions that current and future generations must adapt to. Changing our environment necessitates changing what it means to be human. The butterflies are added to signify the animal life that manages to survive, in the void where once was bounty and splendor.
